The HMCBA is looking for the best cooking teams around to compete in the 4th Annual Bourbon-Que Cook Off Competition. Teams will be judged in three categories: Pork, Chicken, and their own wild card dish.
Bourbon-Que is a member-only event where winners will be chosen by event attendees.

Cooking Team ($100) - Register your own cooking team with all competition meat provided!
No Grill Just Chill - Not interested in cooking? No problem! Attend the Bourbon-Que Cook-Off Competition and help decide who's the best cook around. Attendees will be given 3 poker chips with the chance to vote for their favorite in each of the 3 categories.

Bourbon-Que Competition Rules and General Information
- The event will be held on September 18th at the HMCBA. Cooking teams can set up starting September 17th.
- Proceeds benefit the HMCBA Scholarship Fund.
- Bourbon-Que will be from 5-7 pm on the 18th and all food must be ready by 5 pm.
- Three competition food items to be judged: Pork, Chicken, and a wild card dish.
- All three food items must have bourbon incorporated somewhere in the cooking and/or preparation. HMCBA will provide pork and chicken for each team. Each team is responsible for its own wild card items. The final attendee headcount will be given to the cooking team one week out from the event.
- Event attendees will judge each item. They will be given three different tokens to be placed in the team box that they are voting for. The team with the most tokens in each category will win.
- All food must be cooked on-site and no advanced cooking/preparation. Cooks are to prepare and cook in as sanitary a manner as possible. Each team will have a 20x20 area.
- Each team will have a chief cook representative for their 4-person team.
- Voting ends at 6:30 pm with a recognition ceremony to follow after staff reconciles the final votes.
- The HMCBA will not be held responsible for theft or damage to equipment or bodily injury of any kind.
