Chili Chili Bang Bang: The HMCBA Chili Cook-Off

Things are about to get saucy! Join the HMCBA Sales and Marketing Council for an evening of bold flavors, friendly competition, and good fun.

Rally your coworkers, family, and friends to form a chili team, give it a name that's as creative as your recipe, and show up ready to serve. Don't want to cook? Come hungry, taste the competition, and enjoy a fun night out with the HMCBA community. 


Rules & Regulations

Minimum amount of chili per team

3 gallons

Teams are responsible for:

1. All ingredients for chili

2. Any special condiments team would like to serve with their chili

3. Ladles must be provided

4. A wild card side dish and serving plates or bowls for wild card side dish- enough for around 75 tasters

We will provide

8’ Table

4oz insulated paper cups to hold your chili and spoons

Beverages

Chili Preparation Rules:

1. Chili cannot be prepared any earlier than the day before the event (November 19th).

2. Chili cannot be catered or purchased; teams must prepare it themselves.

3. Each team is responsible for cooking utensils and the ability to keep chili heated. No kitchen

facilities are available so any ingredients to be added must be prepared prior to/or prepared at

booth location.

4. Crock pots are permitted. Please bring an extension cord.

5. Gas cookers are permitted but can only be used outside.

6. Chili must be at the HMCBA office no later than 3:00 pm on Thursday, November 19th.

7. Chili & booth must be set up and ready to go no later than 3:00 pm

Team Member Requirements

At least one team member must be an employee or family member of an HMCBA member firm.

Team Booth:

1. Teams must adopt a name for their chili team. Be creative and have fun!

2 . Each team must have team members at their booth to serve chili throughout the event.
